What's the difference between La Cascada Hotel and other hotels?
La Cascada is the only exclusive hotel in Bariloche with personalized service, located off the Nahuel Huapi coast. The Hotel has got an exclusive beach and 3-hectare park for our guests to enjoy and only 10 minutes to downtown area.


How far is it from the Hotel...
...to the airport? 17 km (a 20-minute ride)
...to the ski resort "Cerro Catedral"? 13 km (a 20-minute ride)
...to downtown Bariloche? 6 km ( a 10-minute ride)

How can I get from the airport to the Hotel?
You can hire car services (visit our section "How to get there") right at the airport or book it prior to your flight so that a car picks you up once your flight gets in. You can also rent a car without a driver. All these services can be hired in advance at the Hotel. (see our section "How to get there")


How can I go from the Hotel to Downtown Bariloche or to the mountain?
You can hire remis or taxi services (visit our section "How to get there") or use public transport which is safe and reliable. There are buses from Puerto Pañuelo to downtown Bariloche and back every 20 minutes and to the mountain every 30 minutes (in high season). Fares can be paid with a $20 bill and get your change back.

Does the hotel have a garage?
The Hotel has a private garage at no additional cost.


Does the Hotel have a laundry and dry cleaning service?
Yes, it does. The Hotel has a 24 hour service. If you wish your clothes to be delivered on the same day, you should tell the maid when you give her the clothes.


Does the Hotel have cribs?
Yes, it does. For up to 3-year-old kids and they are free of charge.


What are the amenities in the rooms?
The amenities you will find in the rooms are: bath cap, shampoo, moisturizer, soap, tissues and shoe polish.


Does the Hotel offer a babysitting service?
The Hotel offers a babysitting service on demand. The additional cost is USD 6 per hour.


Does the Hotel have room service?
The Hotel offers a 24-hour room service with no additional cost. You will find a drink and food list (in the room) from where you can order at any time. The room service for breakfast has an additional cost of $9 per room.


What kind of breakfast does the Hotel serve and at what time?
Buffet breakfast from 7.30 to 10.30 am. which includes: coffee, tea, hot cocoa, orange  juice, butter, local jams, honey, dulce de leche ( a local kind of milk caramel), fruit, fruit salad, several stewed fruits, cheese and cold cuts, yogurt and cereal, home made toasts  and a variety of cakes.


Does the Hotel have a restaurant? Timetable?
The restaurant is open from 12.30 to 3 pm and from 7.45 to 11.30 pm. Visit our section High Cuisine.


Drinkable water?
Yes, the Hotel water is drinkable.


What is the voltage in the Hotel?
It is 220 volts. If needed, the Hotel can provide you with electricity transformers.


Does the Hotel offer access to Internet and E-mail? What kind of telecommunications are there in the Hotel?
Our guests can surf the Internet with an additional cost in the computer located in the reading and video room in the Hotel, or with your personal computer in your own room and main living room (WI-FI, with cost the first time). From each room, you can make local and international phone calls. We also provide our guests with a fax service.


Can I pay by credit card?
Yes, you can pay by any of these credit cards: Mastercard, American Express or Visa except in the case of special programs and promotions where cash payment is required.


What are the check in / check out times?
Check in is at 1 pm and check out is at 11 am. If you wish to leave later than that, please check with reception desk.


What are the working hours of businesses and banks?
Shops and businesses are open Monday through Saturday from 9 to 1 and from 6 to 9 pm. Sundays from 6 to 8 pm. Banks are open Monday through Friday from 9 to 2 pm. In summer the timetable is from 8 to 1 pm.


Money exchange places?
Foreign money exchange can be done in banks or at the Money Exchange Office in downtown Bariloche. It is called Cambio Sudamerica and its working hours are as follow: Monday through Friday from 9 to 9, Saturday, Sunday and holidays from 9 to 1 and from 4 to 9.


Medical services in town?
There are several clinics in the city mostly located in downtown Bariloche. Most of the private health plans offer their services in town. We suggest that you check with a health insurance service before traveling.


Night life in Bariloche?
Bariloche has attractive discos. There is also a Casino with live shows which is open everyday. (Casual clothes)
There is a cinema in downtown Bariloche and a cinema hall in "Shopping Patagonia"


Where can I rent a car or hire excursions?
You can rent a car at the Hotel's reception desk, where you can also get tourist information. Most of the times our fees are lower than those you will get in the city.


What is the average temperature in Bariloche?
Weather is changeable. Summers are dry and warm with average temperatures between 15 and 25 degrees Celsius.
Winters are wet and cold with frequent snowfalls and average temperatures between 2 and 4 degrees Celsius.
In winter the wind-chill can reach 10 or 15 degrees Celsius below zero level.


Does the Hotel cost include spa?
yes, it does. It is included in the Hotel's cost. It includes free access to the indoor swimming pool, work out room, sauna, dressing rooms and solarium.


Any additional cost in the spa?
You can hire a variety of treatments such as body relax, beauty, massage sessions to relieve muscular tension, mud and seaweed treatments, skin facial among others. Visit our section Facilities where you will be informed in detail regarding the treatments you can get at our Hotel.


Is it convenient to hire excursions in advance or is it better to do it once in Bariloche?
It is advisable to plan well in advance. We would welcome some prior information as to your personal requirements in connection with types of excursions (traditional or adventure), frequency of skiing, etc. In this way, our specially trained staff will help you make your stay an unforgettable experience.
